For your consideration, we are offering for sale this New in the Box (only dip tested) Pelikan M1000 Souverän Black Fountain Pen with Gold Trim. The pen is only 2 months old from being purchased and has never been inked except to perform a writing sample which I admit I had to do because I wanted to see the amazing flex on paper. I consider this pen in Mint Condition with boxes, leather Pelikan pouch, Pelikan literature, hang tag, and plastic cellophane the pen was wrapped in.

The Pelikan Souverän M1000 is Pelikan's flagship fountain pen. The solid black pen is complemented by 24k gold plated trim. The large 2-tone nib is made of 18k gold and designated a "Fine". The fountain pen is equipped with a differential brass piston-filling mechanism that works so smoothly. The smooth operating piston mechanism allows you to fill this pen with bottled ink, and the green ink window allows you to see your ink level.

There are absolutely no nicks, chips, cracks, or repairs to this fountain pen. The cap banding is stamped with, "PELIKAN SOUVERAN GERMANY". The cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Pelikan M1000 is only two months old and was purchased in 2022. The gold-plated top shows the one chick cap logo on the cap. This Pelikan M1000 measures 5 3/4" inches in length capped and 7 7/8" inches posted.

This Pelikan M1000 features 24K gold plate trim to the cap and barrel all highly polished. The Piston Filler works with such ease and to perfection. This Pelikan piston filler window has a green, water-clear, ink window.

Here is where this Pelikan separates itself from other pens I have used in this series due to it being such a soft, fully flexible nib. The NIB is an 18C - 750 Two-Tone with a fine point. The actual fountain pen tipping measures .53mm when measured using a digital caliper. In the listing writing sample, this Pelikan M1000 will write with a "buttery" smooth line variation between a fine to triple broad line of .47mm to 2.03mm when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Montblanc Blue Ink.
