For your consideration, we are offering for sale this 2004 Parker Duofold Centennial Black with Gold trim Fountain Pen & Rollerball Set. The set has been gently used but I have internally cleaned the fountain pen and is back in fantastic writing condition. Additionally, I added a new rollerball refill to the Rollerball pen.

The Parker Duofold Centennial black fountain pen & rollerball is made of high-quality, precious resin, which comes in a jet black finish with 23k gold-plated trim. The 18k gold nib with platinum highlights is hand-polished and adorned with an ace. There are no nicks, chips, cracks, or repairs. There is no wear to any of the gold trim.

The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel for each pen. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. The fountain pen is stamped on the lower portion of the barrel with, "PARKER, the Parker Logo, FRANCE and the II (2004) date code in the 3rd quarter" and the Rollerball has the date code, "I III for 2004 in the 1st quarter". The top of each cap has the gold-plated Parker Duofold "Spade" Medallion in perfect condition! This Parker Duofold is a Centennial Size that measures 5 3/8" inches in length capped and 6 7/8" posted. The Rollerball measures 5 1/4" in length capped and 6 1/2" inches posted.

The Parker Duofold 18K Solid Gold Nib is Platinum Plated and is marked "M" on the back of the feed for a medium line/stroke. The 2-tone NIB is in fantastic condition and writes so smoothly! The actual writing portion (iridium) of the Parker NIB measures roughly .86mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a .88mm medium line to 1.10mm medium/broad line with medium pressure when measuring with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Montblanc Blue Ink.

This fountain pen uses an ink converter and accompanies this fountain pen. It will also use ink cartridges. The Rollerball has a brand new black refill.

The set comes with the original box which is in good condition however there is an ink stain on the back cover under the Parker logo and another minor stain on the tray insert. 

This Parker Duofold Centennial Fountain Pen & Rollerball Set has a classic look and design that originated from the 1920s.  The double gold stripe on the cap adds an elegant touch and complements the black resin cap and barrel. Each pen is ready to write with or you can add this wonderful set to your writing arsenal collection. I would grade this set in near-mint condition - a near-perfect example!
